Mountain Bluebird

Sialia currucoides

Description:

Hard to miss once they start appearing! Ranging from bright blue to powder blue, and smaller than a robin. The mountain bluebird female are much less vibrant but just as beautiful!

Habitat:

Prefer edges of forests and fields.

Notes:

They can be seen almost daily in the Southern Rockies now. They are known locally as a sure sign of springs approach.
