moth

Description:

huge and robust moth, about 10cm long, perhaps a type of leopard moth

Habitat:

Araucaria forest, 1500m

Notes:

I spotted this along a trail in Huerquehue National Park. It was nearly dead with 4 bees feeding on its head. Not sure why they were but I shooed them away to take some photos.
