Aggregating Anemone

Anthopleura elegantissima

Description:

Amazing green-donut-shaped invertebrate with a purple/magenta center. When touched this creature retracts into itself - closing and (I assume) protecting it's center.

Habitat:

Attached to rocks along a bay edge at low tide.
