Description:

Low growing, creeping plant. Small yellow flowers that turn to small red fruit that resemble true strawberries. This plant is native to Asia and has been introduced to North Americal. The flower in the first image has lost it's petals. See links for images with the petals intact.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Rockwood Park, Virginia.
