Alucitid Plume Moth

Description:

I would call this the "Fish Fin Moth". It looks like it has tiny wing bones! About 4 mm long. Some Plume Moths rest in an open position like this one. If you look closely, the hind wings are actually divided into "feathers" giving it the fish fin look. This type of Plume Moth is the Family Alucitidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
