? Comb-clawed Beetle

Family: Tenebrionidae

Description:

A dark brown (maroon) beetle about 20 mm long. Elytra was deeply grooved. A narrow head showed large eyes, protruding mouthparts, and long antennae. Legs had thick femurs and orange tarsi.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights near a sports field.

Notes:

Family: Tenebrionidae Subfamily: Alleculinae Looks similar to : http://lifeunseen.com/index2_item_6173.p... http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:b... Also has similarities with: http://lifeunseen.com/index2_item_4742.p... ( Dimorphochilus sp) would like assistance with the ID. thanks
