Open field, lives near Riparian area.

Notes:

I was convinced this was a Bobcat for a long time, but now people are suggesting Canada Lynx, which is it?

... the front leg markings are characteristic and as it seems to be a little smaller - so I guess these are bobcats ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_rufus .

Beautiful kitty! You're so lucky to see one in the wild.
I'm thinking Lynx too, bc of the ear tufts.

So this is most likely a Canada Lynx? I knew it belonged to the Canada family for either Bobcat or Lynx, but was unsure of Lynx or not. What did you base it on, the tail, coloring, ears and black nose? thanks
