White-winged Chough

Description:

I know this bird as a Jay and they are "large, almost completely black bird[s]. [They have] a curved beak, a red eye and a large white wing patch, which is seen when the bird is in flight. Habitat:

For the first time since I was a child growing up my mum and I saw this group hanging out at the park in Nanango, QLD. The park has a small creek running parallel-ish to the road which kind of borders it from a private paddock.

I have such fond memories of both of these species as they loomed large in my growing up years on the farm.
