Blue Throated Barbet

Description:

Its brilliantly blue and red coloured head caught my attention. Its a medium sized bird around 5-6 inches. It had an anxious look on its face, maybe because it spotted me too and then it flew away. The tail appeared bluish to me. It seemed much longer than the standard barbet tail.

Habitat:

Spotted in a tamarind tree.

Notes:

The tail seems much longer than the shorter barbet tail. The tail appeared almost as long a that of a dove.
