Stick Insect, Phasmid - Female

Tisamenus sp

Description:

A small and sturdy Phasmid from the genus, Tisamenus, less than 4 cm in size. Interesting colouration on this one, body is mostly dark brown and this one has light brown patch running from her thorax to her abdomen. Phasmid from the genus Tisamenus are identified by the 'triangle' shape on their thorax.

Habitat:

High altitude forest, above 1,000 masl. Endemic to Philippines
