Brazilian Wandering Spider

Phoneutria sp

Description:

this spider had a bad leg and reared up in a defensive position when I got close

Habitat:

tropical rainforest, amazon

Notes:

I spotted this spider while frantically chasing around a glasswing butterfly. I stuck with the butterfly until it flew off and remembered where the spider was so I could come back. It wasn't in great shape and wasn't moving much.
