Yellow-crowned Night Heron

Description:

A Yellow-crowned Night Heron in an oak tree. I think this one was male. A nest of its young was behind the bird, and it was guarding them closely.

Habitat:

It lived in a suburban neighborhood, nesting in a tall oak tree.
