Blue-winged teal

Anas discors

Description:

It is always nice when you are able to capture both male and female. This pair of blue-winged teals were spotted eating at bottom of the marsh. At times, all you could see were their tails sticking out of the water. The male still has some seaweed hanging from its bill.

Habitat:

St Marks National Wildlife Refuge, St Marks, Florida

Thanks James for letting me know about this mission. I'll only be in Florida a short time and so far have had lots of spottings in Florida. Will add them to Birds seen in Florida. thanks so much.
