A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
The July 4th, 1776 one a day of a high emotion hour after daring independence. Congress asked Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, and John Adams to choose the emblem for fledgling United States “What symbol would best represent a new saver eigen nation and free people”. The committee first looked to history, and began with a classical design, then inspiration stepped in. They turn to the narrative to something powerful alive. The bald eagle was distinctly American. The ultimate emblem of nation with the soaring aspiration. Since then, the American Eagle had swings of fortune every bit as dramatic as those of the United States.
Coasts, rivers, large lakes; in migration, also mountains, open country. Typically, close to water, also locally in open dry country. Occurs in a variety of waterside settings where prey is abundant, including swamps in Florida, edges of conifer forest in southeastern Alaska, treeless islands in Aleutians, desert rivers in Arizona. Also winters in some very dry western valleys.

It's not in Louisiana either.
Thanks for uploading another image Nhan. But this is not a bald eagle. It would be best to delete this spotting and upload your image as a new spotting.
Thank you for the comments. I found this picture in my facebook 5 years ago.

Thanks Christine.
Also, to clear up any confusion in your description - the bald eagle wasn't adopted by Congress until 1782. Franklin, Adams, and Jefferson failed to come up with a design, and so the task passed on to committees (2 or 3, I think) before a design was finally approved.
Welcome to Project Noah Nhan! While this is a lovely spotting and I love bald eagles, this spotting goes against Project Noah's rule that you can only post pictures that you have taken. Please remove the photo and consider replacing it with a spotting that you have taken the pictures for. Thanks!
