This Robber Fly was about 6 mm (1/4 inch) long. It was eating its meal while hanging by one leg from the underside of a picnic table!

Can anyone ID this Robber Fly? I would like to increase the numbers, if possible, of these welcome eaters of gnats, biting black flies, and other small pests.
