Latrodectus hasselti
The famous Australian redback spider, notorious for its painful venomous bite. They are recognizable from their distinct red spot on the abdomen, often hour-glass in shape. Females (above) are larger than males, measuring around 1cm in length, whereas males are only a few millimeters long.
