Campanula lingulata

Description:

Bellflower native to Balkan peninsula, Campanula lingulata is a hairy biennial with one or more stems with clusters of tubular funnel shaped violet flowers. Leaves (3rd photo) oblong-spathulate, narrow to the base, toothed. A beetle (Pygopleurus apicalis) [1st & 2nd photos] and a hoverfly (Scaeva selenitica) [2nd photo] are visiting the flowers.

Habitat:

Forest roadside in deciduous woodland (oak) near the village Stavropotamos (Kastoria, Greece).
