Spotless Starling; Estornino Negro

Sturnus unicolor

These birds have changed to their winter plumage so they are covered in small spots which will wear away again in a few months. The Starling, S. vulgaris, looks similar in winter but has larger arrowhead spots and a browner plumage.

Limestone outcrop in foothills of los Serranos mountains.
