Pill Bug / Buba lopta

Armadillidiidae

Description:

Members of this family can roll into a ball in a process known as conglobation, an ability they share with the outwardly similar but unrelated pill millipedes, armadillos and cuckoo wasps. Other names are: roly polies, chiggy-wigs or potato bugs. The best known species in the family is Armadillidium vulgare, the common pill bug. Keeping a pet pill bug requires a very moist habitat with limited light. They can live for about 2 - 3 years.

Notes:

Truly unbelievable what one can find in a tram track when there is a forest in its proximity. I have realized that all kind of animals are using it as a "highway". I will have few more spotting from the same track and what I have found in next 10 m.
