Yellow-footed Gull

Larus livens

Habitat:

Sandy shore and boulders along south end the Salton Sea.

Notes:

My first (a birthday lifer!). This species is restricted to the Salton Sea in the United States. In October, numbers are dwindling, but we still managed to find 4 of these massive gulls.
