Kudzu Bug

Megacopta cribraria

Description:

Kudzu Bugs arrived in North America from Japan in 2012. These pesty stinkbug relatives feed on Kudzu (duh!), Soybeans, & Wisteria. They release a foul odor when threatened (or touched or looked at really). They swarm windows and swarm you when you walk outside. I speak from experience...

Habitat:

my backyard
