Pacific Trillium

Trillium ovatum

Description:

Three white, lanceolate petals. Yellow center. Single stalk plant with one blossom. Three deltoid leaves at the same level around stem.

Habitat:

These flowers grow in the NW US and Canada. This one was found in the lush forest of Muir Woods National Monument. Tall redwood trees, clover. Partial shade.

Notes:

This is now one of my favorite flowers.
