Chestnut-winged Babbler

Stachyris erythroptera

Description:

I suspect this is S. e. bicolor as it has little in the way of a colourful orbital patch surrounding the eye (similar to that on the Common Myna but pale blue). See Dave's example in the ref links.

Habitat:

Equatorial lowland rainforest.

Notes:

We met Dave while he was on that trip, but at Kinabalu Park where he bought us breakfast. Thanks Dave. Sepilok was not on our itinerary that year but definitely will be if we go again.
