Cuckoo bee

Nomada sp.

Notes:

Small ... wasp? cuckoo bee? I spotted this settled on the leaf of a wild garlic mustard weed I was about to pull out. It turned it's back to me each time I moved round to take a picture from the front, but stayed in that one spot extending and retracting its abdomen.

Hi Reaven. This is not a wasp, is a Cuckoo bee, Nomada sp.

Thank you, Fyn Kynd :) This little guy has less hair (and wider yellow bands) than the mining bees I've seen so far, so I am still searching for which one it is. Thanks for the point in this direction :)

My initial assumption was that this was a wasp but have since found out about cuckoo bees. Could this be one of those?
