Description:

Diurnal geometrids that fly on warm sunny afternoons in early spring, often before the snow has completely melted. More likely to be confused with early spring buterflies than with other moths. Usually found in birch-dominated woodlands along dirt roads, open paths, or clearings.

Habitat:

Mixed woodland logging road (image #6).
