Collared Kingfisher

Todiramphus chloris

Description:

These Kingfishers eat large insects, not sure what insect species this one was but the Kingfisher must have spent at least 10 minutes performing all kinds of contortionist moves so I suspect it may have been some king of bee with a sting it was trying to remove!

Habitat:

Secondary forest
