Description:

The tricolored heron is a medium-sized heron (26") with white undersides. Hard to see in this picture because it was in a resting position. Has a long slender yellow bill with a dark tip. Legs yellow to pale green. Female same as male.

Habitat:

This tricolored heron was spotted in the marsh at St Marks National Wildlife Refuge in St Marks, Florida
