Description:

I thought it was interesting that this tree was sprouting new leaves about eye level. It's first branches were well above our heads. I've never seen this before so hoping it is unique to this tree.

Notes:

This tree was found on the River Trail on the North Tract of the Patuxent Research Refuge.
