Spotting

Description:

There were a few of these bright red ants on the resort -- this one was poolside, and in direct sunlight, so was easily photographed. I know almost nothing about ants, so any help is much appreciated.

Habitat:

This one was spotted poolside (very chlorinated pool on the resort.

Notes:

If you look closely, you will see some very odd chroma noise. I believe that this is due to me failing to allow my camera to adjust to the heat and humidity. I am Canadian, and was on vacation on Mexico's beautiful Playa Mujeres.
