Thank you for the input. I had looked at that one and was sort of leaning that direction, but was not confident of my ID. I knew someone would come to my rescue.

I think there is a good chance that this is a Sinuous Bee Fly, Hemipenthes sinuosa, judging by the wing pattern and body shape and color. See what you think:
