Blue-breasted Bee-eater

Description:

Small bee-eater, slightly larger than a little bee-eater and some 18cm long; with green back, nape and crown, rufous wing coverts and buff belly. It has a yellow throat, bordered by a dark blue, sometimes black, collar band.

Habitat:

Common bird locally, in pairs or small groups, in parts of sub-Saharan Africa. Seen on edges of montane wooded area around lake Awassa, not too far away from the town of Awassa.
