Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

Description:

This is an Female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Females are yellow with black tiger stripes or sometimes all black, with spots of blue along their hind wings. Males are yellow with black tiger stripes and have no blue spots. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterflies have a wing span of 3 to 5.5 inches.

Eastern United States

Snapped this pretty little butterfly last summer in my garden.
