Armyworm Moth

Mythimna unipuncta

Description:

Small larva, pale underside, light brown stripes on dorsum and side. Row of black dots on sides. These hibernate as larvae over the winter.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard. Found under some flowerpots that were on the ground.

Notes:

It was not active at all. I don't know if it was cold, playing dead, or deceased. Probably hybernating.
