Fossil sea urchin (part)

Brissus unicolor

Description:

Part of an Echinoid fossil, spotted photographed and collected at Agios Georgios beach, Pagasitikos gulf, Greece. I believe it's part of a Groove Burrowing Urchin (Brissus unicolor) covered with sediment, a species wich still lives in the sandy deeps in the area.
