Sea Cucumber

Pseudocolochirus violaceus

Description:

Sea apple is a common name for the colorful and somewhat round sea cucumbers of the genera Paracucumaria and Pseudocolochirus, found primarily in Indo-Pacific waters. Sea apples are filter feeders with tentacles, ovate bodies, and tube-like feet. They can release their internal organs or a toxin into the water when stressed.

Notes:

Saw this in quite deep waters of 41 meters! Very brightly colored and easy to spot as they are rather large, around 15 inches in size.

Am not sure where else you can see them, @Marta but at Ponta do Ouro, Mozambique, they can be guaranteed at certain dive sites. They don't moves, so if the guide knows or saw them before, the guide can easily show the divers.
