Mule Deer

Odocoileus hemionus

Habitat:

Coastal forest

Notes:

I'm 99.9% sure these were mule deer. Anyone else see it differently? This small heard definitely had larger ears (with the exception of the guy in the 3rd picture) and I'm pretty sure they had smaller little tails. They bolted before I could get better shots. Would love to know other's opinions!

Thanks Yuko! Actually, the deer were spotted in Mt. Vernon a little farther North! I had the wrong location originally!
