Marsh Rabbit

Description:

The marsh rabbit is a smaller than an Eastern Cottontail. It has short, rounded ears.Its fur is reddish brown and the tail is a brownish grey rather than white.

Habitat:

The Marsh Rabbit is a strong swimmer and is usually found near water. It's habitat includes fresh and brackish marshes, wet prairies and flooded fields.

Notes:

While the Eastern Cottontail forages early morning and late afternoons, the marsh rabbit may be seen foraging during anytime of the day.
