Banded Sphinx Moth

Eumorpha fasciataus

Description:

Adult: Strong white bands on wings

Habitat:

Old fields, nearby woodlands with hostplant

Notes:

This large moth was in my breezeway. He/she did not show the pink in the wings until I touched him to see if he was alive. Very pretty. And a tiny spider in the upper left I did not see because I was so focused on the moth.
