Description:

Black cricket, ~ 25mm long (less antennae).

Habitat:

Tropical; dry coastal strand shrubland and grassland.

Notes:

Spotted on what passes for a 4-wheel drive road, west of the end of Farrington Highway on the north shore of Oahu. Appeared near death, but still had enough energy to move its legs and remain upright when picked up.
