Common goby (Γωβιός)

Pomatoschistus microps

Description:

Minutes after I found the edible mussel shell and let it fall of my hands, a common sand goby found it and used it as a shelter to lay its eggs (most likely). Then the male will guard the eggs until they hatch, 11-14 days later! Spotted at Chrisi Akti Panagias, Pagasitikos gulf, where this fish species is ambundant.
