Petasites hybridus

Description:

It is a herbaceous perennial plant. The flowers are produced in the early spring, before the leaves appear; they are pale pink, with several inflorescences clustered on a 5 – 20 cm stem. The leaves are large, on stout 80 – 120 cm tall stems, round, with a diameter of 40 – 70 cm.

Habitat:

Native to Europe and northern Asia.

Notes:

Other names: Bog rhubarb, Devil's hat, Pestilence wort, obični lopuh. plant is This plant is also used for medicinal purpuses, for example there are studies that show that an extract of Petasites hybridus is effective in the prophylaxis of migraine.

i spotted this exact plant today as well, except yours looks a bit taller than the ones i've spotted! would also loved to know what it is called :)
