Athyma libnites libnites
about 6cm, in rough shape but still go
tropical rainforest
I spotted this in Bantimurang national park.
Nymphalidae, Limenitidinae, Limenitidini, Limenitidina, Athyma libnites libnites, endemic to Sulawesi. Formerly also called Limenitis libnites and Tarattia libnites. Taxonomy is quite confusing. There are 3 subspecies from Athyma libnites, Athyma libnites libnites which is endemic to the mainland Sulawesi and which is yours, Athyma libnites nieuwenhuisi from Banggai and Athyma libnites noctesco from the islands of Muna, Buton and Kabaena
