Description:

Hairy white Erebid caterpillar with bright red head and a black stripe (surrounded by yellow) running along dorsal side. Two red glands are present on lower abdominal segments while four white to cream tufts are present on upper abdominal segments.

Habitat:

On shed door surrounded by mixed hardwoods and overgrown back yard/field.

Notes:

Setae (hairs) can cause a nasty allergic reaction if touched!
