Rufous Treepie

Dendrocitta vagabunda

Taken within Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan, this bird came and landed dangerously close on the roof of our jeep because it was used to tourists feeding it. Later it came and landed on people's hats- don't feed birds and other wildlife, anywhere! It is a beautiful bird, though.

Thank you Maria dB and Monda Pirih. I, too, was amazed by their beauty-- that is, till they started pestering us for snacks!
