Polygonum virginianum
Found growing in the rocks near a small creek. Not in the water. But in the area where the creek overflows.
Thank you Brian!!!
This is a species of knotweed (Polygonum sp.) but I'm not sure which one. The purple on the leaf is diagnostic (at least I'm not aware of any other plants that have this feature).
