Description:

The flowers have 5 purple petals, partially united at the base. There is 5 purple stamen. The leaves show entire margins and pinnate apparent venation. This is a scrub, typical of the dry areas.

Habitat:

Sub-Saharan, moderately dry areas.

Notes:

Also called giant-milkweed. CAUTION: The fruit are toxic.
