That's OK LE :-) Arthropods comes from Greek words which mean "jointed legs". They include insects, spiders, crabs.

This spotting is in the right category. Slugs are gastropods, in the phyllum Mollusca.

nice spot, outsidegirl. i may be wrong about my id, a black slug, but that's what i think it might be. black slugs are not always black, their color varies from black to brown to white.
also, could you move this spotting to the arthropod category?
