Japanese Tiger Beetle

Cicindela chinensis japonica

Description:

Approximately 1 imch or 2.5 cm long.

Habitat:

These beetles can run fast, fly, and the love to eat ants. Also I almost always find them on our driveway on sunny days.

Notes:

In photos #4 and #5 the beetle is eating an ant.
