Thank you! Don't worry, experimenting with mushrooms is not my thing, maybe one day when I learn... perfectly ;-)
Definitely not a Chanterelle. Looks like Paxillus involutus, but I'm not sure. Some sources list Paxillus involutus as edible, but it has recently been shown to be toxic so definitely don't eat it.
