Tree Swallow

Tachycineta bicolor

Description:

Iridescent/metallic blue with a white underside. This species will often dive down at anything they perceive as a threat to their nest, in an attempt to drive it away.

Notes:

My first spotting on PN exactly one year ago was this species. Figured I'd submit again! The old nest box has fallen apart, so they're trying out a different one in right front of the house this year.
